Shrimp Spaghetti

Shrimp Spaghetti

Shrimp Spaghetti is a flavorful, quick pasta dish with garlic, lemon, and a touch of spice. Here’s a simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • Fresh cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley and shrimp roe for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Spaghetti:
    • Boil a pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain, reserving a bit of pasta water.
  2. Cook the Shrimp:
    • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
    • Pour in the white wine or chicken broth, stirring to deglaze the pan. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
    • Add fresh cream, stirring to combine.
  4. Combine and Finish:
    • Return the shrimp to the skillet, along with the cooked spaghetti. Toss everything to coat. If it seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
    • Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and Shrimp Roe or Parmesan if desired.

This dish is best served fresh with a side of crusty bread. Enjoy your meal!
