Nachos are a delicious snack, perfect for parties, game days, or a fun family dinner! Here’s a simple recipe for classic loaded nachos:

Ingredients:

For the Nachos:

  • 1 bag (10-12 oz) tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed (optional)
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef or shredded chicken (optional)
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced (optional)

For Toppings:

  • Guacamole
  • Sour cream
  • Salsa or pico de gallo
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Layer the Nachos:
    • On a large baking sheet or oven-safe platter, spread out a layer of tortilla chips.
    • Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the chips.
    • Add the black beans, cooked meat (if using), jalapeño slices, and diced tomatoes on top of the cheese.
    • Add the remaining cheese on top to help hold everything together.
  3. Bake:
    • Place the nachos in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Add Toppings:
    • Remove the nachos from the oven and sprinkle with green onions and black olives.
    • Serve immediately with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and any other toppings you like.
