Chicken Steak Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Shallot Balsamic Sauce Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 shallots, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
- Pound the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts between sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound them with a meat mallet until they’re about 1/2-inch thick. This helps ensure even cooking.
