Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) fresh spinach (or about 10 oz frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for a crispy topping)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for mixing with breadcrumbs)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Spinach:
- Fresh Spinach: Wash thoroughly and remove tough stems. Place in a large pot with a lid. Cook over medium heat for a few minutes until wilted. Drain and squeeze out excess moisture. Chop coarsely.
